Where plants and dance take root

Christina Adams-Harris is the Founder and CEO of The Green Nook — a wellness studio and plant boutique located in Escondido, thoughtfully designed to nurture connection, inspire movement, and create moments of peace within the community.

Born and raised in San Diego, Christina’s journey is a unique blend of creativity, business, and activism — all driven by her passion for cultivating spaces that feel good, inside and out. Her lifelong love of dance began with tap, ballet, and jazz at the age of four, and for a time, she also coached cheerleading, finding joy in supporting and uplifting others through teamwork and spirit.

Professionally, Christina’s path has taken her through real estate, accounting, and business management, equipping her with the structure and insight needed to build a purpose-driven brand. But her impact extends beyond entrepreneurship. As a dedicated community advocate, Christina is committed to social equity, environmental justice, and creating accessible, inclusive spaces for healing and collective care. Her activism is deeply woven into the heart of The Green Nook, where sustainability, representation, and wellness converge.

The Green Nook reflects Christina’s love for plants, movement, and community connection. It’s a space where nature is celebrated, wellness feels approachable, and people are encouraged to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect — with themselves and with others.

Her mission is rooted in transformation and care: to provide a welcoming environment where growth happens naturally, movement feels joyful, and everyone leaves feeling more grounded, empowered, and inspired.

Plant Enthusiast | Plant Care Associate | Native Garden Advocate

Shandra’s love for plants didn’t begin with one single moment—it blossomed slowly, season by season. Her curiosity first sparked when she wondered why her favorite fruits were only available part of the year, why summer grass always made her itchy, and how she might escape raking the lawn each fall. Those simple questions opened the door to a deeper exploration of the plant world.

She began gardening, growing flowers, and—much to her mother’s dismay—bringing them inside. Along the way, she admits she’s lost her fair share of plants, but each misstep only fueled her determination to learn more. Over time, she planted lemon trees, replaced her grass with native species that suited her better, and began composting leaves to enrich her garden beds.

For Shandra, caring for plants has grown into much more than a hobby. It’s become a meaningful practice that grounds her life. Nurturing something and watching it thrive under her care has been transformative—turning curiosity into passion, and passion into a way of life.

Isabel is a dancer who grew up in sunny San Diego as a first-generation American with deep Syrian roots. Her love for movement began at a young age through belly dancing, a vibrant expression of her cultural heritage that continues to influence her artistic style.

At fourteen, Isabel discovered her passion for choreography after spending countless hours studying music videos and learning routines online. That curiosity quickly grew into a lifelong dedication to dance, leading her to explore a wide range of styles and develop a reputation for her dynamic energy and her ability to help others feel confident and empowered in their bodies.

In 2021, Isabel began pole dancing, a practice that deepened her connection to strength, sensuality, and self-trust. In 2025, while teaching children at a local dance academy, she uncovered a deeper calling—sharing the joy of movement with the next generation. This experience strengthened her purpose as both an artist and mentor.
